Simply put a little water with a few drops of essential oil on the top and the heat from the flame will evaporate the liquid and scent your room in the normal way. We do not sell essential oils, but they are widely available.

It is important to extinguish the flame before all of the water has evaporated in order to avoid blackening of the glass. The glass is pyrex and therefore heat resistant.
